White Sauce recipe by Margaret Leora Workman; Warponie Art

yesterday I bought some white sauce in a jar and I was really looking forward to eating it today. It turned out to be the worse thing I have ever eaten and I couldn’t eat all of it. So I am going to give you a recipe that I have made before and it was really good. It is really easy.

If you like bacon then fry that separately and cut it into small pieces and make sure its drained of all of the fat and completely dry it.
minced onions
minced garlic
minced vegetables such as peppers, broccoli, etc..
fry all of those in half a stick of butter on medium. do not let them burn.
Turn the burner temperature on low.
once the vegetables are soft introduce half of a package of cream cheese and smash it into the mixture until its all incorporated and there are no lumps left
Add in heavy whipping cream slowly, a little at a time because you will want to keep it cold so it doesn’t grow bacteria as it warms up to room temp. its up to you.
stir until there are no lumps. If you add it in slowly then that stops the lumps from forming.
then depending on how thick you like this add in milk to make it as thick or thin you like it.
then add in the bacon.
After that at the end, add in Parmesan cheese or Romano cheese whatever you like and add salt then. you don’t have to heat it too much because it will get somewhat ‘grainy’ if you heat it too much.
If you decide that you want more butter do not add it in later because the sauce will become oily. It has to be fried at the beginning with everything else.
