I have a bag of random weeds that I have collected from my yard. I always wash them, dry them and then just throw them in a bag. Then sometimes I have blended them with a blender. I have used weeds in place of laundry soap before and it works. I have put them in with fresh coffee grounds and then brew the coffee, or tea. I also have used them in smoothies. This is a weed that I usually have in my yard but it’s actually not a weed! It’s called amaranth. I also have yarrow in my yard quite often! It is such a pretty plant and beneficial! I overlook all of these plants that are available, free, and full of nutrients. Some of these are here in my yard but I buy them at the store.

Think of all of those sticker weeds or other invasive ones used for laundry detergent!

I will just put this amaranth in this bag with it open, on shelf, and it will dry out eventually. What about labeling you ask??

These are rose heads that I saved, I froze them in case of any sort of ants or small bugs crawling in and out of their aromatic petals. I will dry them on that shelf now.
Here are more…

These are some plants that I found today in my yard: Leaves from one of my trees; peach and a deciduous. Dandelion, some long wide grass, and some tall flowers that I had planted next to these zinnia plants. They grew?? I have no idea which ones they are! because I did not label them. Awesome! I washed them with soap and water and will cut them to put into a bag. Here is a picture of the tomato seeds that I threw into this garden box, I didn’t put them in rows per those directions.

I thought they would thin themselves out. I will use these tomato leaves as well…because I will have a lot.

These aren’t weeds but squash leaves that I thinned out of the patch that is growing.

I will be using these as well in my weed collection for smoothies. They are really big, but they shrink as they dry

I put some of the weeds together and blended them in a blender, looks pretty! For this one, I dried the heads of roses, zinnias and added some dried squash leaves. I will add this to the fresh grounds of my coffee and brew that together each day.

This is amaranth, leaves and twigs from my peach tree, and the large grass plant that is growing in my yard. I added sunflower leaves and anything else that was around.

This is a 1 gallon bag. I blended all of the weeds and flowers together in a blender so that it will be like tea. I add it to the coffee grounds each day before brewing. I put it all in one bag so that I don’t have 12 bags taking up space.
