This spider was in my shed on a small piece of drywall. I saw the web first which wasn’t there two days ago. At first glance I thought the web looked like a black widow spider web. They have really liked my shed in the past before I sprayed it out with soap and water. Thinking about it now, the web had sort of the same pattern but the diagonal pattern was a little more loosely woven, not as tight as the diamond shaped patterns of a black widow spider web is. Also the web was easily destroyed. A black widow spider web is extremely hard to destroy because it’s very thick and sort of ‘Woolley’. I cheated and used the insect identifier on my phone. It does that for insects, plants and animals. Sometimes I think that it can be wrong though in my opinion depending on the angle of the subject.
