I love squirrels! They are so cute and they help my dog to feel and think that she is in the wilds of New Mexico, not in a fenced yard! my dog likes to play and chase them. She believes them to be a meal I think but she has never eaten one. She really likes birds and rabbits. That is normal for a stray that was found in the desert. They call New Mexico a desert. It’s more of a steppe or Savana I guess. I thought a desert had sand. But they also call the Pecos River ‘the pakis’.
