They really like each other. Poor Poppy keeps getting the hair rubbed off of his face because of his gentle leader! I walked them today so it is worse now. Poor baby. It’s really a bear to walk them both but I want them to learn to do it. Last time I walked them was really horrible. I was lazy and did not put Baby’s gentle leader on and just used a collar. We were walking through the neighborhood. It was a huge disaster. They would not behave and Baby is just as bad as Poppy in wanting to run while they walk. There are chickens that live at a couple of streets down, and don’t forget two roosters at two different houses. I guess they decided on free ranging them. Such a cute group of free range chickens in their front yards with no fence. Baby really liked them and thinks that I am totally unfair to not let her chase them and eat them. I really thought we were going to get home in one piece, but right before we got home, Baby’s bitter feelings overtook her and she got out of her collar and booked it, down the alley. Of course there are people here and there watching me and Poppy run to catch her. It was like she was mocking me with her slow run, while I tried my hardest to just get close. When I felt like giving up she would sort of trot. So then Poppy decided to pull me along to catch her. He is a majorly fast runner and I wouldn’t have caught Baby if Poppy hadn’t pulled me. I headed Baby off and got her. I know that she would have eventually taken a chicken out.
