Photo art by Margaret Leora Workman; Warponie Art

These are some photographs that I took and then printed on glossy photo paper of zinnias. I used this cardboard that came in the box with the mini-split that was installed in my house. I have been thinking about decoupaging these pictures onto cardboard for a couple of months. I used:

1 sheet of purple construction paper, 1/8 of a cup of wax, and some glue and lime juice for the acidity. I had to add water to the paper to blend it in the blender but I think that not adding water would be better. Then, add more glue if you need more. I put copy paper on the cardboard, just enough to cover it. I used glue. Then spread glue on the copy paper and place the pictures. You can measure or not measure. Then you can add more glue to the mixture if you need. It will become creamy because of the wax. I have used this without wax and it is different, less creamy. Slather on all of it on top of the pictures with a sponge or whatever you have. If you plan to put a border on it, don’t add the mixture around the pictures. If you want to plan this more…for a frame, you could find a nice box and cut the frame to the size that you want. Then use only the number of pictures that will fit into that frame. You could buy a frame. You could use wooden panels from the store for a frame and use metal stays to fasten the wood together and then staple the pictures into the wood.

I used this also on this small MDF board that I painted for future flowers and these are the centers

The wax/ Elmer’s glue makes the solution creamy, sort of like paint and dries mostly hard.

For this I will cut some fabric petals to put with cardboard petals. when you paint MDF board use glue, and paint together if the board is smooth. You will also have to bend it back to being flat. I spent some time doing that because I didn’t know that it would happen! Horror.
