So one of the guys who is renting a room from me is an electrician and is fixing some of the electricity here. Somehow some of the wires burned out and so the two bedrooms do not have electricity. It’s been forever! I have made several calls to a few companies and have asked a few other guys if they could do it. I have had some really disheartening responses from these men who have done things like lecture me, cut random wires down out of the attic and then from a very large hole that was cut and then leave, uninstall lights and then leave, take off light switch covers and then leave, bring friends over to lecture me, say that my house should be condemned when it’s not an emergency at all, say that they can’t go into the attic because of their injury, have someone else call who was very mean and rude, maybe he didn’t get that elk they he had just gone hunting for?? Now there is this electrician. I said that I was going to paint the fan before he will reinstall the fan that he took out and he told me not to paint the motor. Uh, ok thanks for that tip. He could have gotten this done sooner but the other guy in the other room left his door locked last weekend so that the electrician could not get in. So I told him that if he doesn’t leave it unlocked this weekend I will have to drill a hole into the door and unlock it that way. And then he would have to leave. But what if I really have to do that, peeps????
Update: for me I just wanted a quick fix so I am using craft paint. It will scratch off if you don’t use primer. I did several layers of only craft paint and then I blended equal parts of Elmer’s glue and black craft paint. That works great! It covers it. I also added a tiny bit of water to make it glide on easier. I painted this glaze over everything that I had already painted. It will help it to not scratch off. In the pic it’s still drying. If you want it to be like enamel there are other types of paint that will be like that. Since this is just a ceiling fan and no one will be up there scratching it I thought it would be ok.
