I was so excited today! Because I went back to the gym after a few weeks of not going. I was worried that not going was going to be a set back. During that time a jumped on my mini trampoline every so often. Sometimes twice a day. I have one that has the bar attached. I use that for my arms. I do around 300 to 400 jumps of random jumping exercises for each session. I sometimes do that twice a day, especially the last week before going back to the gym. I was totally surprised that I was able to go up in weight at the gym a considerable amount on every weight machine. I mostly do the machines and not the free weights. I try to do all of the machines while I am there, instead of just doing legs or arms because it’s more like a full body workout! Unfortunately, I am such a lightweight. At the beginning of going to the gym a few months ago I started with the 10 pound weight that each machine starts with. I try not to care about what the previous person had theirs on and I don’t want to wonder what they think when they use it after me! Some of these guys are lifting like 200 pounds on these machines. Sometimes I wonder if they move it all the way to the bottom on purpose, I mean who really does that many reps of 200 pounds?? Here I am being excited about going up to 30 pounds from 10. And don’t ask if they were going to use a machine they will treat you like you could be from a different planet. I don’t take it personally. Today I was there and one guy who I had not seen for several weeks yelled at me across the room saying how I looked great and then made a motion of a round stomach to me. I guess he thought I had been really huge before. Thanks for telling everyone at the gym, I guess. How horrific. If you ever think you might want to compliment someone by doing that, just don’t. I wanted to remind him of how old he looks…. Anywayz, The mini trampoline was a really good investment. Yes floor exercises are ok but for me I need a contraption to use for some reason. I should have tried to find one that folds up because it takes up some space.
