I haven’t had insurance for a very, very long time. During that time I might’ve had insurance, but I don’t remember. I’m talking about medical insurance, which is really hard to obtain, I am finding out. I haven’t had insurance because I decided to go the holistic route many times and that always help me more. I’m not giving advice to anyone about the subject, so don’t worry. I agree that doctors should exist! I thought, well I might as well try and get insurance because when I paid for it before it was around $150-$200 for just me so I thought it would be the same now and when we had to go through the Obama age of insurance we always took the fine on our taxes instead of getting the Obama insurance. It was less expensive. I went online to try to get insurance and all of the normal insurance companies I guess are not offered in my area but sometimes they are and you know that $79 a month price that anthem quote you that is not something that you can even receive. And so then I did the price comparison online and I couldn’t get any quotes. People started calling me instead. All of these sales people for the insurance companies started calling me and I had about 16 calls in one hour! I think it was actually more than 16. I did talk to one person and she quoted me $490 per month for just me. She also said that buying insurance was like buying a plane ticket that the longer that you wait the more expensive it gets. I said that I really cannot pay that so then she said how about $300. I asked her why she didn’t give me that price at the beginning? I guess she wanted me to pay 490$. I still thought that was too much. I didn’t realize that I was calling during this situation called open enrollment and that it was going to end two days later. and the next time that I can sign up won’t be until November. She said something about that, but didn’t explain it totally that, that was the situation. I really just didn’t get it. I have had jobs where I can receive insurance when I get hired and that is at all times of the year. Why is there a situation called open enrollment for private insurance that isn’t explained anywhere. She had given me an option of some insurance company that I had never heard of and I was worried that it wouldn’t be taken at any clinic or hospital anywhere so I didn’t take that. She asked me why I didn’t have insurance and how long it had been since I had insurance before and I didn’t really like those questions. But I guess that’s just what they ask. As a landlord, I make too much for state insurance I mean, I guess I do. I can’t really tell how the IRS actually categorizes that type of income anyway. I wonder if they actually know. I’m still waiting for them to tell me if I can do a payment plan and I sent my taxes in at the very end. I guess they don’t have anybody to figure these things out at the IRS. Oh well it’s to my benefit I guess. And then the state sent me a letter saying that they changed my federal income. How does this happen? I sent them an email saying I think that’s incorrect because I have all of the totals from my account that I added that I sent them a picture of and so yes, I’m contesting that. Anyway, how does the state just change your federal income? Do they have the authority to do that? They don’t work for the IRS so I don’t think they have that authority to do that, is that only my opinion?
Anyway I got insurance! I am considered an adult now. An all by myself adult! It is only 214$ for the Aetna network. These two guys were soooooo nice!!! TY ❤️
