Happy birthday by Margaret Leora Workman; Warponie Art

I made these tin can birthday table settings. They are meant to be given to your guests with candy to take home. They are super easy. The design is from pictures of fabric that I had that I pinked with pinking shears into the shape of an ice cream cone and decoupaged onto a painted can. Paint it first with latex paint then whatever craft paint that you want. Then decoupage decorated paper onto that. This allows you to have different themes and I have made some birthday cards to match these and then you can make invites to match as well. It’s fun to buy all of this but if you don’t like anything at the store or cannot get there, then you can just do this!!

Don’t forget the inside.

For the decoupage there are recipes online but all I did was take Elmer’s glue and add water to whatever consistency that you like. I kind of don’t think that the ratio matters. Use a hair dryer to set things and then let it dry for a few hours until hard. Or just dry it with the hair dryer the whole time. Much faster

I sell these on eBay pinetr_5611

For these cards I just took some old fabric and pinked it and made it look like balloons. Then just tape all of it down on paper and take a picture of that and print it out.

You can use sugar skulls for your birthday party. they are fun and not as used as other ideas for a birthday. This is a skull that I drew on graph paper and then made a card out of it. So many fun ideas with sugar skulls.
