Falling star by Margaret Leora Workman; Warponie Art

I have only seen one other falling star in my life and it was extremely high in the sky. This time it was much lower. It looked like a bright white teardrop. It was only for a second but it was falling horizontally and then vertically down. It had a tail as well. I read that there have been some meteor showers going on lately, so maybe it had to do with that, but it was only one, not a group.
