Coffee Poetry

Sundance of my heart

Oh the Sundance of my heart
flies and flies upon the earth.
It longs to see the waves of the ocean
as they toss about without discretion.
My heart longs to hear the birds sweetly sing
about their daily troubles
who no one knows a thing
about.
My heart longs to touch the clouds so high
where the water droplets collect
waiting to drip down
to complete the water cycle, what should I imply?
How could I direct you more
enabling you to understand me more?
Do you have a candy to drop in my coffee?
Oh sweet pie
of sugar and lye
with your stye so high
where is your horse?
Can I have a ride?
So that I can have a day, as well
a day to be out of the well.
Oh please tell
me how it is to be out and about
with your conscience
so untouched and unobstructed!
Let me think again of my heart
being high in the clouds and sailing
off to see the horizon,
only then can I pretend
to see and touch and feel that pot of gold
I have been waiting for
before I get old.
Please give me more
of what you have here
you are such a sweet dear
to spend time with me just to hear
me talk and speak of my heart
so tender of flesh
how can I receive one of stone?
To survive this duress that will never be one
with you and your horse and your
great love of the heavens?
I thought I was done
with this handmade of honor.
No, you say that is off in the distance
that pestilence
Well since you say!
It really is. What is next?
