Take 1.5 cups of rice and add enough oil to make the rice moist. Then fry that until the rice is light brown. Add in some frozen peppers or whatever vegetable that you like. Keep frying that until the vegetables are warm. Add in 2 cups of water and two beef bouillon cubes. Boil the rice for 3 minutes then turn the heat to medium. When the rice is sort of dry and still somewhat not cooked add in another cup of water. Make sure the rice doesn’t stick or burn. This will form a light soup and cook the rice al-dente. This rice is not the sticky kind. If you want that type just take 1.5 cups of rice and add 3 cups of water and cook it on the stove or an instant pot.
Before this take two frozen beef patties and bake them. Salt them lightly. When they are done, Pull them out and cut them into squares. Put these on top of the rice. you can also fry them but when I bake them a lot of the oil comes out of them and they become more dry.
If you use an instant pot, you will notice all of the buttons and they are named. But you don’t have to pay attention to the names. The time, low or high pressure is what is important. You can always pick those manually on there without having to use the buttons. Plug in the pot, click pressure level for low or high. Then pick pressure cook for less, normal, more. Then the plus minus buttons for your time that you want. Then it will start by itself. It has to build up steam to get hot enough to actually start so make sure that the thing by the big knob, on top, is on seal. You have to have a flashlight to read the knob on the top. They should sell headlamps with each pot.

When it’s done and you don’t want to wait 1 million years for it to release the pressure then get a towel and place it over the valve and turn it to vent. Sometimes it will spray out water or steam. Who of you have used a real pressure cooker?? I used one of those for years!!! I don’t really like crockpots as I am too impatient and I procrastinate. My grandmother used a pressure canner!
I know that paper bowls are bad for the environment but I can find the bowl that I had. But I did buy two real coffee cups! I am on my way…
