Here in New Mexico it gets pretty cold at night so I am worried about the kittens. I still have two coming around quite often and then two others come sometimes. I have my turtle and so I wanna make sure that I can have him outside as well during the day in his cage so he’s not stuck inside all day and all night because of the winter. this porch will be a place for them. I need a place for all of my plants that are still growing, what else can I put in there?
For the pallets, I made sure that they are the same height but putting other wood boards under them to raise them up to be the same height. I used wood and not cement since the pallet is wooden, I wanted it to be supported by wood. Then I did screw one of the pallets to the bottom frame of the wall so that it was more secure. The pallets that I used for the 4 corners have very heavy boards contained in them, the same size as a 2×4, so they are just as sturdy.
The reason that I am mentioning it, people may think that it is not doable if they don’t have the perfect supplies. I did ask the city a long time ago if I could do this, I was married then. It was approved. Now I am divorced and still have to do it in my mind, I really do. I had three different schematics that were approved. They said that we didn’t have to be licensed. So now I am doing it.

I removed all of the tomato plants and potted those. I am waiting now for this person to look at a room..,and then I can keep going. I have to place a couple more pallets onto the dirt. A couple of pallets were smaller in height, so I put these thick butcher block boards on top. They are ruined so I might as well use them!
So I have had all of these boards for many years and I am now just getting this done! I have been able to use all of these at the Length they are, with no cuts, except I had to cut caps for the lattices using other lattice rods.
MAKE Sure that you work with this only in a well ventilated area! And please wear a mask. if you don’t have one use a pillowcase and tie it around your face before working with this.
My dog poppy the Pitbull likes to find things to chew up! that’s him in the background chewing up a plastic bag, I wonder what was in that!

I screwed that cripple stud into the frame using a trailer park pocket hole as my grandfather would have described it.

Nailing flange: install from the outside then put the siding over the flange so it will be impossible to steal.
No nailing flange: install from the inside
I looked at a diagram and it showed flashing and a window jamb. I would like to use these items in place of those.
I lied, I guess I am only going to screw it in on the bottom, have the top board ready and screw it into that! I really like the windows with the nailing flange/fin thing way better! They were way easier.
