I bought some orange roses this evening and some new tomato plants because my big one is dying. I have an essential oil mister that changes colors and so I was able to have some different colors to bounce off of the roses.

This really nice hiking area is in the town that I live in. In this area of New Mexico this is the vegetation that is here. Some people call this a desert. It’s pretty interesting. I think some of these rocks have fossils and the ocotillos are also fossilized. This is what it looks like…

I always loved these growing up. I believe these were my grandmother’s favorite along with hollyhocks. I am not sure really how to take care of these. They are all pretty much dead now but there are still leaves at least. How sad!

I always learned that moths lie their wings flat when they land and butterflies land with their wings up. But this one seemed to do both and it looks like it has those owl eye markings in the inner wings in order to scare away predators. I couldn’t find anything that helped me to name…
