Grass Skipper Butterfly, Atalopedes campestris Margaret Leora Workman; Warponie Art

I have seen this butterfly a couple of times this fall/ winter here in New Mexico. Since I have these Zinnias, they have really attracted hummingbirds for a little while and a lot of butterflies! I was photographing some other larger butterflies and he flew right into the zinnia next to me! He said, “don’t forget little bugs like me! I am just as important even though I am not as bright as the larger butterflies! They always get noticed! Please notice me!” They are so cute and stout!
