For these cards I had some fabric from some random place! Maybe some really ugly shirts that I ordered in an EBay clothing lot? I always have to hope for the best with EBay clothing lots, then it becomes fabric for a quilt that never gets done. so I used pinking shears to cut the balloons out. Tape groups of the balloons with scotch tape onto copy/ printer paper. The shiny scotch tape makes the fabric have more depth when it’s printed out. Then take a picture of the paper with all of the groups of pinked balloons and print them out. You could try to copy this on your printer but mine always comes out too light! It might work for you! But it takes as much time and you have the digital version with the photograph, so that you can take it somewhere else to print it and you don’t have to be at home! So print it out then cut around the balloons. Tape all of that onto another piece of printer paper in groups again. Draw the strings, write whatever you want! It doesn’t have to be ‘Happy Birthday’! I used a pencil first to write ‘happy birthday’ then I traced over the letters with marker. Then decorate each group on that paper. You could also go to a craft store and buy small decals etc.. put those on there randomly (but not permanently!) Take another pic and print that. Then you will still have the decals unused for another project! They are so expensive! Cut each group out in the size of square or oval that you want. Use double sided tape to stick those onto card stock that you have already cut and folded to the size that you want your card to be. I just took a sheet of it and cut it in half, then fold each one in half. You can use a ruler to draw a line on it to cut it or use a paper cutter. Fun! I also used construction paper to put in between because I wanted it to be more colorful. Just use the double sided tape. Yuh can try Elmer’s glue but it stays wet and then it could randomly bend without my knowledge, overnight. And plus I procrastinate so I need it to be done yesterday. Glue takes too long
Ps: if you have a friend who was mean and lied about their birthday, then also have a party for them on their incorrect birthday, invite the whole town. send a gift to their work that says happy birthday. That will be their new birthday.
Anyway! So what about Christmas cards? These are somewhat time consuming but they have a personal touch. Just add a pic of your family portrait. When you take a pic of the construction paper and print it, it comes out more professional looking than just construction paper.
