I sent this picture to the renter who was renting my apartment the night before last. I am moving into that apartment that he was renting from me because my dog Poppy is seriously getting big! I would like to weigh him but my scale is not really working. Is it normal to gain 10 pounds at night and then lose it by morning?? That’s what is happening with me and this scale. I didn’t want to buy the scale that took batteries, and I didn’t see one that I could plug in…so I am stuck with this scale that told me that I needed to lose 20 pounds and then the next morning, only 10. And then it was 12 and then 7, all in 10 minutes of me jumping up and down on it to see if it could be reset. So I had to move in to where he was but I gave him an option to move into one of the other rooms. He said that he cleaned it and I was planning on just moving in. I imagined him being homeless at the park because I felt sad that I only gave him three weeks notice. I think that it was three weeks. But before that I gave him notice that I was raising the rent. Have him 30 days for that. It was an ongoing situation of him not responding to me about everything else. It wasn’t a lot but I could tell the minute that he came to sign the lease that he hated my guts and said that he wasn’t really responsible for anything that was in the lease since he kinda didn’t have time to read it. Yikes! I said uh…no, sir, you really are responsible for all of it. But he was a friend of the guy who was already in the apartment so I let it slide, and then I let everything slide because the situation was not fun. Then my friend left and left this guy and another guy who were like the worst people I had ever met! Seriously they were the rudest people. I would try to wave at this person and he would just ignore me. And then the other guy said that he didn’t really want to talk about the rent because he was ill but in a threatening way. Then this guy blamed me for the other guy getting ill and having to go to the hospital because of the draft coming through the door. I had lived there before, and I didn’t know that it was that drafty. So I changed the whole door frame just to make sure that they couldn’t complain. Then I added a polycarbonate sheet on the outside as well. They had another door. Then this guy informed me that he was going to add another guy to the lease but it seemed like he felt that he didn’t have to ask for permission. This is all during the time of him not responding to me and then I would ask about why and he still wouldn’t respond. I didn’t know if I technically could make them leave just because they had really bad, infantile attitudes. Can a landlord kick people out because they were being mean, mean, mean?? Anyway I said that he has to ask for permission and he had to have a background check and stuff! There are other people who live in this residential area not just you…so his cousins never moved in. It didn’t go well. But then one of the guys who lives in a room referred to this guy as a they. I wonder if he had a roommate but just said that it was him here so that he could get out of paying the extra money. Then he said that everything was clean but I really didn’t want to have a conversation anyway. He wanted me to come over and check it the night before he left. I said that I am sure that it’s fine! Then it really wasn’t! It took me 6 to 7 hours to clean it and that was just the bathroom and kitchen. And then another 3 to move my stuff in so that I can rent out what I was living in. It’s so cute!! I am trying to make it more manly, and I was able to get a toilet installed by an actual plumber! It’s sort of crooked and the screws are too long for those white plastic covers to go on but at least it’s there, right? He installed the toilet and the faucet which fixed the leak that was there in the new vanity all for a “low” price of $300 to $400! I can remember but he is the only plumber that was available and he came the next morning. I could have installed the faucet but he said something else was broken so I just let it be. So I spent all of yesterday cleaning! So gross. The video that I took of it lasted 7 minutes so it’s too long for my blog here. They only let me post videos that are 1 minute and 15 seconds long on WordPress, So I guess I can’t post it!
