Idea by Margaret Leora Workman; Warponie Art

Have you ever wanted to soundproof a wall? What if the wall is already built? I read that acoustic panels are made of 80% cotton, foam or other types of material. One idea that I had was using old jeans, you can always buy them at thrift stores. Take a wooden lattice that some hardware stores carry (but not mine). Anyway, Staple the jeans or other heavy fabric to the lattice. You might be able to find ugly upholstery that is on sale at a fabric store. cover one side of the lattice by stapling the fabric to it. Take some non-toxic insulation. It comes in rolls and it is silver. Place that in the square spaces of the lattice then cover that side of the lattice as well with more fabric by stapling. Drill some pilot holes with a small drill bit into several parts of the lattice and then screw those lattices to the wall that you are trying to sound proof. Then attach some pretty curtains to the ceiling so that they can hang in front of the lattices. If you are building a wall you can add these things to the wall to make it more sound proof and it will also be more insulated.
