My dog, Baby, and my new puppy, Poppy. I got him off of Craig’s list today. I keep saying her because my last puppy that passed away was a female. But just don’t tell Poppy. I am not sure how old he is, I think the ad said the age but I dont remember. He and Baby got along right away. I have had good luck with Baby and puppies because Mudge was a puppy as well when I got her. He is sleeping so I don’t want to wake him. He has had two cheese burgers and a can of chicken. He has great teeth so I figured it was ok. I used to be a stickler about only feeding dogs, dog food. But now I don’t care. I never wanted my dog to beg and Baby never did. But then I thought feeding her what I eat at every meal would help her to bond with me a little better and it really did help. She was a stray and always wanted to be out running catching rabbits but I have to keep her with me so I caved. I just looked at the ad and he is 7 weeks old. This person said that he was pit-bull, so I am really excited. I am from Colorado and in one county this breed is banned. I do not agree with that decision, this breed is just like any other breed. This was several years ago though, so maybe they took the ban out.

He has gained some weight! I am so happy and relieved. Tomorrow he has his appointment at the veterinarian which is 1 block away. Thank goodness for Baby so that Poppy can see what it means to sit, lay down, go potty (outside) and come. Since he is only 7 weeks old, I read that he is still getting his vision in fully. I hope that’s why he doesn’t like to come in when asked! He is halfway potty trained during the day. At night he can’t hold it the whole night yet. He has learned ‘no bite’ already very well. I have had a few dogs and have been a pet sitter in Colorado for Rover.com and usually dogs don’t learn as quickly as Poppy has! Usually they are more resistant to doing anything you would want them to do.
