I have another post with a small rodent that I thought was a deer mouse but it might been a vole. I have seen another rodent that has been around my house and it really is a vole. These are protected under the endangered species act. I read that deer mice and white footed mice are sometimes protected under state laws. I really had no idea that they were protected but I am very relieved because traps cannot be set for these.
