The Untimely Death of Fear and Misery

How can you ever be with me?
Unexpected situations of fear and woe!
How can you be with me?
How can I be with thee?
Out here on this boat
sailing around this moat
that you brought me to.
This bulwark of shame.
please don’t be lame
and get us to shore
and then out to sea
so that you can just be
with me.
How many years have we survived
this untimely death of fear and misery
around this moat
So don’t be against this idea
of togetherness and love.
Sing a happy tune.
Sing like this dove that has come to visit us
right on this boat.
How many years and how many branches
will it take to rise the uptake
and give the desire
to walk through our movie.
Is it real?
or made of steel
like you and your countenance.
Let’s get to shore quickly so we can dance
our fool hardiness away
past this bulwark of shame.
No one is to blame.
Let’s make peace somewhere
maybe in a jar.
we can grow it if we have the mother.
