A long time ago I decided to homeschool my children. It was difficult to decide on a curriculum! Here is what I did in general

Use the small packages of muffins etc. where you have to add in eggs and oil using muffin cups.
Don’t forget learning piano. You can order books online that make it simple. this company is totally awesome. They have books for the piano (just use a keyboard)
I also wanted to add in that I started allowing my children at age 8 to ring items and bag our purchases at Walmart and Albertsons. It made it all so much easier but it also taught them how to do all that so they could be aware of and keep up with societal changes. I helped them and they eventually learned to do it without me. Also I sat in the truck while they loaded it with the groceries.
When we moved I paid my son to decide where to put things and unload those boxes. Yes all of our household items! He was 11 years old. My other son chose where to put his things in his room. His room was never messy! So he kept things orderly on his own.
