Happy Halloween can craft by Margaret Leora Workman; Warponie Art

I had this can painted already. I took off the label from this can of yams and swathed on some Elmer’s glue. I cut a piece of copy paper and put that on and made sure there were no air bubbles. Then I painted it with white craft paint. I then drilled holes in to top with a drill bit and drill. If you use paper in this way, it leaves a matte finish instead of glossy. Then I let it dry. It’s been sitting on my shelf for a while, so it’s really sturdy. I used colored pencils and drew on the flowers, and then traced them with a sharpie. One idea is to draw whatever you want on another piece of copy paper, cut it out, and glue that on. That way it will be perfectly drawn and it will give you a nice 2-d effect. Or use card stock instead of copy paper. I messed up a lot on this and had to redo the lettering and the flowers when I used the sharpie. It will just sit here but I didn’t want to feel utterly disappointed every time that I looked at all of the mistakes and then end up having to throw it away in the dumpster. Does anyone else feel that way?? Anyway, you can thread some wire through the holes, and use it for trick or treating. lol.

I redid the lettering, I think it looks better. I cut a piece of card stock out and used double sided tape after I rewrote the letters.
