I found this turtle today sitting outside of my gate after I walked my dog Poppy. He wasn’t moving that much. I have given him water and some bugs and he also ate some micro-greens. I made a small area for him outside so that he can be out there next to my tree sometimes. He crawled behind there while I was doing something else, I walked back and he was gone! I was gone only for about 1 minute, he is extremely fast. I blocked off the two entrances but I guess not well enough. I came inside and fell asleep and then thunder crackled. I ran outside and he was crawling down the sidewalk. Thank goodness for the thunder! I don’t know where he would have gone. So now he is my pet turtle! I used to have box turtles when I was young so I kind of remember how I took care of them, then. I might get some canned turtle food.
I put him in his spot outside yesterday evening. He escaped somehow! He must have jumped through the tree limbs somehow! I cannot find him.
