Wooden Flowers Art by Margaret Leora Workman; Warponie Art

For this art I took some stamps and painted them black using craft (acrylic) paint and stamped some card stock. Then I used double sided tape to tape it to another piece of card stock. And then I used water colors after the black craft paint dries. This is an easy way to use all of those stamps on something larger than a card. These stamps are really big. The sun was just a lid off of something that I painted black. All of these stamps came in different sets, it was fun putting these together. you could just use copy paper. Both copy/printer paper and card stock will get really bubbly because of the water since it’s not official water color paper. You could use that too! But, if you use the printer paper, just make a copy of your results or take a picture of it and then print it. That will be an 8×11 print to hang up and they won’t be bubbly at all! Or you can go into print settings and it might give you the option of printing it into a 4×6 for a card. Then you can save all of those for later for invitations.

This reminds me of linocuts Art ! But you have way more choices! And I bet it’s less expensive. I was on Pinterest and I saw linocuts like two weeks ago. I never knew about it. I guess with linocuts you have to carve away the wood from the image with a chisel? I think I saw some that looked like large stamps though, and it seemed like they were calling it linocuts. I am not sure. It looks beautiful, either way.
